A tintype is made by an entirely handmade process with origins dating back to the 1850s. Metal plates are sensitized, exposed, and developed on-site using a portable darkroom. The image is made in silver and will last many generations.

What is Tintype?
A tintype is made by an entirely handmade process with origins dating back to the 1850s. Metal plates are sensitized, exposed, and developed on-site using a darkroom. The image is made in silver and will last many generations.
How Long Does The Process Take?
Each tintype will take aprx 10 minutes to create from start to finish. The exposure is instant, but you must hold still for several moments to maintain focus. But don’t worry, if you blink I will give you a do over.
If I Purchase The 2 or 3 Portrait Package, How Many Photos Can I take?
Pay for one you get one … and so on. But don’t worry if you blink I will give you a do over. My Tintype Protraits are in fact, truly one of a kind.
What Should I Expect?
Your seated portrait will be made with a high powered flash.
The exposure is instant, but you must hold still to maintain focus.
For couples, individuals, or a tight group of three adults.
Children may be included in the portrait.
Glasses may show reflections from my studio lights.
Some glasses with UV protection will have a tinted or sunglass effect on the tintype.
Tintypes are hand made, Imperfections are part of the process.
Tintype will be 5x6.5 inches.
Your tintypes will be shipped to you within one week.
